Your Outstanding Communicator and Communications Champion finalists

By iabclondon | August 17, 2020

IABC London is pleased to share the 2020 finalists for the Outstanding Communicator Award and Communications Champion Award. These exceptional individuals will be recognized at the Virtual Virtuoso Awards Celebration on September 17, where we will also reveal the winner for each award.

This year’s Outstanding Communicator Award finalists are recognized for recent bodies of work that harnessed strategic communications to deliver significant business results. Your 2020 finalists are:

  • Mike Donachie, Communications Manager, Libro Credit Union
  • Julia Oosterman, Chief, Communications and Public Relations, Bluewater Health

“Mike and Julia are shining examples who encapsulate the spirit of outstanding communication,” says Megan Zinn, IABC London President. “Through innovative and bold strategies, projects and campaigns, they have propelled their organizations forward.”

As supportive leaders, this year’s Communications Champion Award finalists recognize the value of communications as integral in driving business results. They integrate communications as an internal strategic partner and work with their team to deliver exceptional leadership communication. Your 2020 finalists are:

  • Mike Lapaine, President and CEO, Bluewater Health
  • Lynn Logan, Vice-President (Operations & Finance), Western University
  • Daryl Longworth, Chief of Police, Woodstock Police Service

“We’re pleased to see Mike, Lynn and Daryl recognized as Communications Champion Award finalists. Each of them has shown clear understanding and appreciation for the communications function in their organization, advancing the reputation of our profession,” says Marek Kubow, IABC London Past-President. “They have also demonstrated strong leadership communication with remarkable commitment to their organization’s mission, vision and values.”
